Primary Drinking Water Standards for Six PFAS Chemicals Proposed

The USEPA has proposed primary drinking water standards for six per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). PFAS are commonly referred to as forever chemicals as they don’t readily degrade in the environment and have been linked to a broad range of health issues. The National Primary Drinking Water Regulation (NPDWR) would establish legally enforceable levels, Maximum Contaminant Levels (MCLs), for these six PFAS. US EPA Proposes to Strengthen Air Quality Standards

Recently, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced a proposal to strengthen a key national ambient air quality standard (NAAQS) for fine particle pollution, also known as PM2.5, to better protect communities, including those most overburdened by pollution.
