Our History

T&M Associates is founded by Richard T. Noble & Richard M. Schulz to meet the needs of a growing Monmouth County. Within six years, the thriving firm grows from 7 to 50 employees.

With a successful Municipal Practice established and a headcount of 100 employees, T&M begins to cultivate its Water-Sewer and Private Business practices.

T&M marks a 25-year milestone and opens the doors to its newly-built corporate headquarters in Middletown, NJ. This move signifies T&M’s position in the market-place as a top engineering firm.

The flourishing company now works for all 21 NJ county governments, as well as major transportation agencies and sewerage authorities, including New Jersey’s largest.

The firm launches new corporate branding and a tailor-made tagline… Your Goals, Our Mission. Superstorm Sandy hits the East Coast and decimates many of the towns T&M serves. The company helps communities with the arduous recovery process and in preparing for future disasters. Notably, T&M has more Superstorm Sandy experience than any other engineering firm in the state.

In 2016, T&M celebrated 50 years in business and honored the seven original clients the company remains in partnership with. Today, with over 350 professionals located across the U.S., T&M continues the vision of Noble and Schulz through professional excellence and teamwork. Since our inception, T&M has supported our partner communities through volunteerism, promoting STEM education, and charitable giving. We launched the T&M Associates Foundation in 2021 to expand these philanthropic activities.
