Project Overview
The Northwest Bergen County Utilities Authority (NBCUA) is designed to provide treatment to 16.8 MGD of raw sewage and sewer service to various municipalities in the Northwest side of Bergen County. T&M has served as a consulting engineer to NBCUA for the past 15+ years providing assistance with capital planning, asset management, annual inspections of major assets, design and construction services of their treatment plant and various sanitary pump stations. Some of our recent projects include upgrades at the Goffle Road and Midland Park Pump Station, asset management, improvements to the aeration blowers, Waste Activated Sludge (WAS) pumping equipment and WAS thickening, improvements to various pump stations, and lining and/or replacement of various sections of the Trunk Sewer West and East interceptors.
T&M is currently working on projects in support of the Authority’s proactive management of the system toward evaluating, assessing, and updating their system. T&M, along with our subconsultant, is evaluating and assessing the existing interceptor systems to identify and develop potential capital improvement repairs or rehabilitation to the existing interceptor infrastructure. Additionally, we are performing manhole inspections on the gravity sewer system to identify manholes which have suffered excessive damage and require repair. T&M will assist NBCUA with funding these projects through the NJDEP I-Bank.
