T&M has served as the lead engineer at this U.S. EPA Superfund Site since 2012. T&M completed the design, construction, and automation of a groundwater containment and treatment system and is providing long-term operations following start-up. Historical use of Trichloroethene (TCE) for degreasing and plating operations led to contamination of soil and groundwater at the facility. T&M performed hydrogeological modeling, treatment plant design, geotechnical testing for facility construction, construction oversight, NPDES permitting, design of the force main influent/effluent piping, electrical power design, control system design and programming of the SCADA and PLC system. T&M’s project team prepared work plans and designs for submittal and approval from the U.S. EPA and will implement the commissioning and startup of the system this summer.
