The developer Penrose, worked with the Allentown Housing Authority to redevelop Little Lehigh Estates, an affordable housing development originally built during the 1970s era. The project location is a +/- 11-acre parcel bounded by Martin Luther King Jr Drive and Lehigh Street in the City of Allentown. The site is currently owned by the Allentown Housing Authority and contains 76 existing townhomes, a community building, and associated parking lots and infrastructure.
The first phase of the redevelopment project included the demolition and redevelopment of the 1970s-era public housing project for the construction of a 50-unit new stacked townhome project on the lower portion of the site. The new housing development features construction of five buildings with one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom affordable apartment homes, a new community building and central playground area. Future Phases could entail two additional 50-unit phases in mid-rise apartment buildings.
T&M provided land developer services to Penrose for the project which included Civil/Site Engineering Services, Preliminary/Final Land Development & Subdivision Plans, Stormwater Management, NPDES, Erosion & Sediment Design, Regulatory Permitting and Application Submissions.
