T&M Takes Home Two Distinguished Awards
August 6, 2025
T&M is honored to receive two Distinguished Engineering Awards for our Jersey City Canal Crossing and Avantor Landfill and Parking Lot Solar Redevelopment projects. The New Jersey Alliance for Action’s Distinguished Engineering Award program honors the truly elite of Garden State engineering projects. These works have a significant and extraordinary impact on the state’s economy and environment. Congratulations to the project teams!
The Jersey City Canal Crossing
Canal Crossing is a 111-acre tract in Jersey City, which was declared an “area in need of redevelopment” in 2009. The tract was formerly tidally flowed land, filled in the 1800s for industrial development. The Canal Crossing project reconfigures 17 industrial blocks into 40 walkable city blocks. T&M professionals helped design the re-envisioned right-of-way while collaborating with various property owners, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders. Responsibilities included roadway design, land grading, stormwater management, utility design, traffic design, environmental remediation support, permitting, project management, landscape architecture and land surveying.
The Avantor Landfill and Parking Lot Solar Redevelopment
This renewable energy project is a high-profile, closed, ground-mounted solar project located over an existing landfill for Avantor in Phillipsburg, NJ. T&M was a sub-consultant for Redaptive and provided environmental, electrical, automation, site, and construction management services for this project.
