T&M Projects Receive First Place Project of the Year Awards
October 31, 2023
We are proud to announce that two of T&M’s projects have received first place Project of the Year awards from the New Jersey Society of Municipal Engineers (NJSME)!
Ship Bottom Municipal Building was awarded first place in the Municipal Construction Management Projects category. T&M’s PM/CM team worked closely with the Borough and led the project delivery strategy, preconstruction services, constructability review, logistics planning, bid, award, and startup phases of this phased project. It includes the demolition of the existing municipal building and parking lot, the construction of a new 2-story 16,000 SF Municipal building, as well as new site features, parking, and utilities.
Little Egg Harbor Mystic Beach & Parkertown Beach Replenishment Project was awarded first place in the Municipal Project Management category. Mystic and Parkertown Beaches are two of Little Egg Harbor’s marquee public beach access areas, sitting directly on the Great Bay and Barnegat Bay. Over time, both beaches have suffered significant erosion despite various maintenance activities being performed on the beaches. The goal of the projects was to restore the public beach areas to the 1977 shorelines, improve habitats, protect uplands, and slow down wave attenuation. T&M performed coastal engineering, living shoreline design, environmental permitting, project management, and inspections for the construction of stone jetties and breakwaters, sand replenishment and grading, bulkhead wall construction, stormwater management improvements, parking lot upgrades, and restoration.
