The Earle Naval Weapons Station Solar project was a 28.5MW-DC or 20MW-AC solar project at the Earle Naval Weapons Station in Tinton Falls, NJ. In 2019, at the time of the project, it was one of, if not the largest, Solar Project in New Jersey.
The project consisted of 71,900 solar panels, eight 2.5MW central inverters and was connected directly to JCP&L’s electric grid at 34,000V on Shafto Road. T&M’s design included the solar panel layout, wiring, electrical calculations; 34kV Switchgear design and coordination with Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L).
