The new turf and bandshell improvements project at Green Acres Park II revitalizes a key public space by enhancing its functionality and aesthetic with a transformative investment in community recreation and cultural engagement using the latest materials and design standards.
Central to the project is the renovation and expansion of the existing bandshell area, which serves as a vibrant hub for concerts, performances, and township events. Improvements include upgraded seating, enhanced acoustics, electrical design (new outdoor rated electric panel and removal of old one), modern lighting to support both daytime and evening programming and ADA-compliant access routes.
Equally as vital is the conversion of the adjacent natural grass football field into a multi-purpose synthetic turf field with significantly improved durability, drainage, and year-round usability for sports and recreational activities. Site improvements include new walkways, stormwater management systems, and landscaping features that promote environmental sustainability.
T&M provided the design and CA&I services to ensure the project reflects Burlington Township’s commitment to enrich the quality of life for residents. By integrating cultural, recreational, and environmental elements, the Green Acres Park II improvements serve as a model for thoughtful community development and underscore the township’s dedication to open space preservation.
