T&M’s Monica Wall & Regina Moser Lead Efforts to Secure $824K in Grant Awards

June 2, 2022

Monica Wall, Municipal Supervising Engineer, and Regina Moser, Municipal Staff Designer, successfully secured grants for two Pennsylvania Municipal clients offered through the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).

Upper Merion Township, PA, was awarded $780K for the Brownlie Road Culvert Repair project from PennDOT through the Multimodal Transportation Fund (MTF). PennDOT received 213 applications for financial assistance from the MTF between September and November of 2021. This was an extremely competitive process with numerous important transportation projects proposed that will serve the citizens of Pennsylvania. The MTF evaluation team reviewed the criteria of project readiness, benefits to the transportation system, among many other items.

Wilson Borough, PA, will receive $44K from the DEP for their Curbside Leaf Waste Collection Program. $30.5 million in grants were awarded through the DEP to 157 municipalities for recycling programs under the Municipal Waste Planning, Recycling and Waste Reduction Act. Grant funds are used to develop and implement recycling programs.
