Cape May County’s Comprehensive Plan Approved
February 8, 2022

On January 20, the Cape May County Planning Board adopted its new Comprehensive Plan.
With the help of T&M, the Cape May County Planning Department embarked on an initiative to provide the Planning Board with a complete rewrite of the prior plan. The new Comprehensive Plan presents a clear vision with actionable goals and objectives that, through cooperation and collaboration with local and regional partners, will guide development and redevelopment practices to meet the needs of tomorrow while ensuring that the character of the County is preserved for future generations.
The Comprehensive Plan, according to Cape May County Planning Department Director Leslie Gimeno, PP, AICP, MPA, is a statement of values and goals, which the Planning Board hopes will influence and “inspire” decisions at the regional, county, and local levels. The plan can be accessed through the Planning Department’s website.
T&M has extensive experience in providing comprehensive master planning and related services to approximately 50 municipal and nine of the 21 county governments throughout the State of New Jersey.
