T&M to Assist Wayne Township to Develop New Master Plan

Wayne Township is set to develop a new Master Plan, marking the first major update in 30 years. The previous plan, from 1994, had been re-examined several times but not replaced, prompting some to advocate for a completely new approach. Township Planner Chris Kok is leading this initiative, with T&M providing consulting services for research and planning, aiming to maximize Wayne’s potential and prepare for future opportunities.

A kickoff meeting took place in August, and the official process begins in September, with T&M spearheading the public engagement efforts. Public engagement is a crucial component, involving three rounds of input both online and in-person to capture residents’ concerns and preferences. The new Master Plan will offer a strategic framework for the township’s development over the next 10-20 years.
