T&M Welcomes Ashraf Metwally as Regional Vertical Structures Market Sector Leader

T&M Associates, a leading engineering and technical services firm, is thrilled to announce that Ashraf Metwally, has joined the firm’s Middletown, NJ office as Regional Market Sector Leader for Vertical Structures. In this role, he will be responsible for overseeing vertical structures within the Northeast region, supporting strategic growth while ensuring technical excellence, quality, and consistency across projects.  

Ashraf brings nearly four decades of experience in structural engineering, with expertise spanning design, project management, forensic engineering, and leadership across a wide range of building and infrastructure projects throughout the United States, Canada, and the Middle East. His background includes residential, mixed-use, commercial, public sector, and transportation facilities, with deep technical expertise in reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry, timber, and  light gauge framing. 

In addition to his broad design and analysis experience, he is a licensed Professional Engineer in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania; is a member of the Structural Committee at the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) ; served as Expert Witness for the District Attorney of NY; was a professor at The College of Staten Island, City University of New York; and  provided in-house training and mentorship to Junior Engineers supporting their technical development and onboarding. 

Ashraf’s leadership and technical depth will be instrumental in strengthening T&M’s structures practice and delivering safe, efficient, and reliable solutions for clients across the region.
