Dahms Discusses NJ’s Path to Enhanced Infrastructure in Commerce Magazine

January 22, 2024

In Commerce Magazine’s January issue, T&M president & CEO, Gary Dahms, discusses the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) impact on New Jersey, the historical investment in infrastructure, and the strategic allocation of funds.  The bipartisan IIJA, enacted in November 2021, authorized approximately $1.2 trillion in much-needed infrastructure investment throughout the nation, encompassing both project funding and overall infrastructure improvement. This includes more than $12 billion for New Jersey over the course of six years.

This is an exciting time for planners, engineers, and contractors both in NJ and throughout the region as we invest in ways to improve our infrastructure and communities, not only with new roads and bridges, but with foundational infrastructure such as access to clean drinking water, widening access to broadband, and enhancing the efficiency of airports and mass transit systems. We look forward to working with our partners throughout the state to get even more of these projects underway in 2024 and beyond.
