T&M’s Monica Wall & Regina Moser Lead Efforts to Secure $90K in Grant Awards

Monica Wall, Municipal Supervising Engineer in T&M’s Bethlehem office, and Regina Moser, Municipal Staff Designer in our Philadelphia office, successfully secured two grants to provide the Borough of Wilson with a new fire utility truck. $76,159 was awarded through the PA Commonwealth Financing Authority’s Local Share Account and $14,300 from a Public Safety Grant through Northampton County.

The combined grant funds total of $90,459 will be used to purchase a 2024 GMC Sierra 3500 HD (TK30943) 4WD Crew Cab to replace the 1996 Chevrolet 3500 4×4. The new multi-purpose vehicle will be outfitted by a registered COSTARS member in order to include the necessary lights, siren, console, etc. needed for a typical Fire Utility Truck.  The Wilson Borough Fire Department’s utility truck is used to respond to 70% of all department calls and is the vehicle used for quick response medical calls. By replacing the current multi-purpose utility vehicle that is almost 20 years old, the Wilson Borough Fire Department can continue to provide reliable emergency services to Wilson Borough, as well as residents of the neighboring municipalities of West Easton Borough, Williams Township and Glendon Borough.
