An Alternative to Development

February 10, 2022

The 82-acres of environmentally sensitive land along Wardell Road in Tinton Falls, NJ was originally approved in 2005 with the intention of building 270 townhomes. Today, most of the land has been preserved and the new 4.5-acre Wardell Park is complete with playgrounds, basketball courts, tennis courts, and pickleball courts. T&M assisted Tinton Falls Borough in the process from acquisition to the park opening.  The park has been well received by local residents who now have a place to exercise, breathe fresh air, and enjoy the great outdoors. The timing couldn’t have been better, due to the increased demand for local outdoor recreational spaces during the pandemic.

To learn how T&M secured the open space and planned the park, read the full NJ Municipalities article authored by T&M’s Tom Neff and Rob Keady along with Tom Fallon, the Borough of Tinton Falls’ Acting Borough Administrator, here.
