T&M’s Electrical and Automation practice provides a unique blend of two complimentary services from “traditional” electrical engineering projects like power distribution and microgrid development to process automation services like design and integration of complex control systems.
We perform electrical engineering designs and services to support energy and electrical infrastructure projects including: alternative energy design – solar, wind, battery storage; microgrid development; power distribution and backup power; substation relay systems; utility coordination studies; and arc flash analysis. In addition to those more traditional electrical services, we also perform Process Automation services where we design and implement control systems to help automate complex systems. With these skills, we design control panels to include power and communications across the systems, specify instruments to obtain system information and operational conditions, we then perform programming of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) to give operators a graphic oriented means of interfacing with their systems. As systems are installed and wired, our engineers arrive at the facilities and perform startup and commissioning of the processes.
T&M’s Electrical and Automation practice offers services for power storage and distribution design, to full automation platforms and more.

Rob has 30 years of experience serving in several key management positions while working in the engineering and electrical & automation consulting business.
"I have relied on T&M’s Electrical & Automation team to design, implement, and support my projects for years. From the initial understanding of my needs and budget, to thinking out-of-the-box and addressing my technical challenges, and even staying on the phone for long hours on nights and weekends to help my staff and I troubleshoot and come up with fixes. We have become fully interdependent and function as one team."Pejman Eshraghi
