Count Basie Park Athletic Field Improvements – Red Bank, NJ
The Borough of Red Bank retained T&M Associates to perform field survey and environmental services, prepare design documents, prepare and submit grant applications and provide construction administration services for construction of a synthetic turf multi-use baseball and softball fields at Count Basie Park. T&M assisted the Borough with securing funding from NJDEP Green Acres Program, Monmouth County Open Space and Baseball Tomorrow Funding for improvements included construction of a new synthetic turf field for football, soccer, field hockey, and lacrosse; construction of new synthetic turf baseball field with a soccer overlay and new softball field; construction of a subsurface drainage system for each turf field; connecting the turf field drainage system to the existing park drainage system; and maintaining the existing running track around the field area. T&M was also responsible for the construction of field event areas including shot put, discus, long jump, high jump, javelin, and pole vault.
As part of this project, T&M was the Licensed Site Remediation Professional for the Borough and delineated the extent of and removed contaminated soil onsite, as well as delineating historic fill.
