Municipal Harbor Reconstruction – Atlantic Highlands, NJ

January 1, 2014

The Atlantic Highlands Municipal Harbor is among the largest public marinas on the East Coast and serves the region as a prominent hub for ferry service into Manhattan. The existing Harbor was completely destroyed after Superstorm Sandy. Due to the importance to the local economy and the need to restore normalcy to the Bayshore region, the Borough was pressed to restore service to the Harbor as quickly as possible. T&M was responsible for the initial damage assessment, preparation of design documents and oversight of the $15 million project to rebuild the Harbor and incorporate a more storm-resilient floating dock system.
