Hoboken’s Washington Street Named Project of the Year by the American Society Of Highway Engineers

July 29, 2020

Last week, the American Society of Highway Engineers of Southern and North Central New Jersey (ASHE-NJ) named T&M Associates’ redesign of Washington Street in Hoboken, NJ as the 2020 Project of the Year, in the over $5 million budget category.

In 2015 the City of Hoboken moved forward with a modernization of the historic corridor in conjunction with the NJ Department of Transportation and T&M Associates, who performed the redesign, construction administration, and inspection and observation services. The full redesign was completed in July 2019.

ASHE-NJ’s Project of the Year Awards honor consulting engineering firms, contractors, and transportation officials in their efforts to provide quality roadway facilities in New Jersey. Two winners are selected, for projects with a total budget of under and over $5 million.

As one of the winning firms, T&M presented a webinar to ASHE-NJ’s members on the significance and accomplishments of the Washington Street project. View the presentation here, at the 31 minute mark of the video is where T&M begins our presentation on Washington Street.
