Kim Dunn Promoted to T&M Natural Hazards Practice Leader

PHILADELPHIA, PA – T&M Associates is proud to announce Kim Dunn, PE, D.WRE, CFM has been promoted to T&M’s Natural Hazards Practice Leader. T&M’s Natural Hazards practice helps communities to identify and understand their risks related to natural hazards and develop strategies to increase resilience. Our team has decades of experience providing public and private clients with the full range of resiliency solutions, including flood studies, risk identification and assessment, GIS services, preparedness planning, resiliency implementation, funding, and response, recovery, and rebuilding support for sustainable solutions to reduce vulnerabilities to future disasters.

Dunn has more than 30 years of industry experience involving program management and implementation of flood studies throughout the Mid-Atlantic, Midwest and Puerto Rico. This experience encompasses thousands of miles of hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, floodplain mapping and community outreach. She has provided training to community officials, consulting engineers, planners, and surveyors on all aspects of the National Flood Insurance Program. She is a well-known expert in the industry having served as a Project Manager and Lead Engineer on several projects within FEMA Region II, III, and VII.

Dunn is a licensed Professional Engineer, a Certified Floodplain Manager, and holds a Diplomate, Water Resources Engineer (D.WRE) certification which is the highest post-license certification available in the water resources engineering profession issued by the American Academy of Water Resources Engineers, where she also serves as a member of the Admissions Committee. She has been recognized for her outstanding work and has been honored with many awards and achievements, and she currently serves as a Member of the East Pikeland Township Planning Commission. She is a former member of the American Society of Civil Engineer’s (ASCE) Energy Environment & Water Policy Committee developing ASCE’s official Policy Statements on major technical, professional and educational issues of interest to the civil engineering community and the nation.
