MIDDLETOWN, NJ – T&M Associates, a leading national consulting, environmental, engineering and construction management company, was recently presented with a Champion of Good Works Award for Volunteerism by the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey (CIANJ) at the organization’s 2017 Chairman’s Reception: “Saluting the Generosity of Business – Companies that Care.” The reception honors corporate philanthropy and extraordinary acts of kindness from its member companies. The event, which drew more than 250 business leaders and associates throughout New Jersey, was held on March 15 at Nanina’s in the Park in Belleville, NJ.
To mark the company’s 50th anniversary in 2016, T&M initiated the “50 Ways of Giving” campaign, in which employees throughout its 19 office locations participated in acts of volunteerism to give back to their partner communities through hands-on activities that enrich peoples’ lives and help those in need. In total, T&M volunteers participated in 93 events—almost double their original goal of 50, logging more than 1,600 hours to support a broad array of great causes and non-profit organizations like Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers Big Sisters, United Way, American Red Cross, Clean Ocean Action and Project Lead the Way. To continue this momentum beyond their 50th celebration, T&M introduced “Operation Outreach,” which will be the company’s main community service vehicle moving forward.
“There was no greater way to mark our 50th anniversary than to give back to the communities that we serve through our ‘50 Ways of Giving’ campaign,” said Gary Dahms, T&M’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “We’re pleased to accept this recognition from CIANJ and we look forward to continuing our philanthropic initiatives with Operation Outreach.”
