T&M Recognized in ENR Regional Best Projects Awards for Efforts on Solar Project

November 15, 2017

Engineering News-Record (ENR) is the key trade publication covering the architecture, engineering and construction industry worldwide. Their annual “Regional Best Projects Awards” program is dedicated to honoring the best construction projects and the companies that designed and built them in twenty specialized categories, ranging from airports to sports/entertainment.

As part of the 2017 awards program, T&M was recognized for our contributions to a winning project – the Triangle T Ranch Solar PV System in Dairyland, CA.

The Triangle T Ranch Solar PV System was awarded First Place in the Energy/Industrial category of ENR California’s Best Project Awards. As a subconsultant to Conti, T&M served as the MEP Engineer for this 3.9 MW solar development. The 12,000-acre Triangle T Ranch needs large volumes of water to grow its almond and pistachio trees in a dry, sunny climate. The farm’s new 3.9-MW solar array produces the needed electricity to operate its groundwater and irrigation wells and pumps. The project team designed the system to operate at a maximum DC voltage of 1,000 volts, providing 93% of the farm’s electricity needs.
