Firm Commended by NJSME for Outstanding Design and Construction Management

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – On Wednesday, November 20, the New Jersey Society of Municipal Engineers (NJSME) at its annual luncheon honored four projects submitted by T&M Associates, a leading national engineering, environmental and consulting firm, as part of its Municipal Engineering Project of the Year Awards. These projects included the Sea Bright-Monmouth Beach Seawall Reconstruction that took 1st place in design for smaller communities, the Washington Street Redesign in Hoboken that took 2nd in construction management for larger communities, and the Noe Street Drainage Improvements in Carteret plus the Iowa Court and South Green Living Shoreline in Little Egg Harbor and Tuckerton that both received 2nd place in design for larger communities. All four projects significantly advanced their respective communities’ resilience to and recovery from severe storms and flooding.

The NJSME’s Project of the Year Awards pays tribute to outstanding municipal engineering projects, for design, project management, or construction management. These three areas are split into two community size categories each for municipal populations above and below 20,000. A panel of judges reviews entries and recommends awards, which are announced at a presentation ceremony held in conjunction with the annual NJ League of Municipalities Conference in Atlantic City.
