Building 701 Carnegie Center

West Windsor Township, NJ

Carnegie Center Building 701Boston Properties is constructing a LEED Certified office building for Princeton University at the Carnegie Center West Office Park in West Windsor Township, Mercer County, NJ. The building is approximately 100,000 square feet. T&M’s role in this project includes surveying, civil engineering, wetland delineation, preliminary/final site plans, utility coordination, drainage, stormwater management, traffic impact studies, environmental impact analysis, West Windsor Planning Board application and testimony as well as other county and NJDEP Permits.

The award-winning Carnegie Center project straddles US Route 1 between Alexander Road and Meadow Road. T&M has been involved in the development of Carnegie Center for the past 25 years. The entire campus consists of over 4 million square feet of developable space, including office/research space, hotels, conference centers, restaurants, a childcare center, a US Post Office, extensive pedestrian greenways and recreational areas. The firm prepared the original General Development Plan and individual Preliminary and Final Site plans for each building on the site. T&M also designed the Meadow Road overpass at Route 1, which was built out of a tri-party agreement between West Windsor, Mercer County and the New Jersey Department of Transportation.

T&M was directly responsible for all aspects of the project including Phase I Investigations, surveying, conceptual engineering, final design, landscape architecture, traffic engineering, lighting design and construction management. Nearly every operating division of the firm has been involved in this project.
